Since 2017, Greenland Agro has been committed to delivering high-quality agricultural machinery tailored to the real-world needs of Indian farmers. The company was founded by Ashiqhussain Mohammadali Gani, a visionary innovator from Kanodar, a small village in Palanpur Taluka, Banaskantha District, North Gujarat.
Despite completing only up to the 8th standard, Mr. Gani entered the world of business alongside his family. His journey began in 1969 with lathe work and diesel engine repairs. By 1972, he purchased his first tractor and began working directly with farmers—an association that laid the foundation for a lifelong mission to solve farmers' day-to-day challenges through practical innovation.
In 1994, with the help of his brothers, he built a boring machine and stepped into the agricultural machinery business. A few years later, in 1997-98, he developed a unique machine to remove failed borewell casing pipes—saving farmers from significant financial losses. This innovation proved to be a blessing for many.
Being closely connected to the farming community since 1972, Mr.Gani consistently observed the evolving problems faced by farmers. With the rise of technology and rural labor shortages, one growing challenge was the inefficient spreading of manure. Traditionally, manure was piled in fields and left for 10–15 days due to the unavailability of labor, leading to nutrient loss and decreased soil fertility.
Motivated to solve this issue, he envisioned a machine that could save farmers time, effort, and money while improving crop quality. With this goal, Greenland Agro was officially established on January 1, 2017. After two years of dedicated effort and teamwork, the company successfully launched its flagship product—the Farmland Muck Spreader—in October 2018.
This machine marked a significant leap in agricultural technology, making fertilizer application faster, easier, and more effective. It aligned with the national vision of doubling farmers' income by 2022, as inspired by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
